Here are a few frequently asked questions that we often get asked. If none of these answer your question please contact us and we’ll be able to answer your question.
How do you make the charms?
We often get asked this question. Making personalised silver jewellery is a highly skilled and complicated process. Read the How It’s Done page for more information on how these beautiful pieces of jewellery are made.
Is it real silver?
All of our handmade keepsake jewellery items are made from fine silver which is also known as 99.9% pure silver. Pure silver is slightly softer than sterling silver and extra care should be taken as it can scratch more easily. Care instructions are sent out with every piece of silver jewellery. All findings are made of sterling silver. Findings are jump rings, necklaces, bracelets and other items we place the charms on.
My baby is under 6 months can I still have a fingerprint charm made?
Babies under 6 months old may not have defined fingerprints so you may not get the full definition but you will get how tiny their fingerprint is. We recommend a hand or foot print charm or wait till they are a little older for a fingerprint charm.
What do I need to do?
Once you place your order and full payment is taken we will send you a print kit for you to take your prints. Full instructions are included but if you get stuck just get in touch with us and we can talk you through it.
How are the prints taken?
If you see us at an event or have booked an appointment we can take the prints for you. If you have ordered online then we can send out print kits to where ever you are in the world.
If you have ordered from our fingerprint range we will send you the moulding compound or putty we use to take the fingerprint moulds. You will have enough to take three prints and full instructions on how to make the prints come with this.
If you have ordered from our hand, foot or paw print range we will send you an non toxic inkless wipe and sensitised paper. Once the hand, foot or paw has been wiped and placed on the paper it activates and the impression appears. This gives us great impressions and detail of the hands and feet.
If you already have a hand or foot print that has previously been taken you can scan and email to us, we wouldn’t want your precious original to get lost in the post. The same goes for all artwork jewellery, we wouldn’t want you to lose it so please scan and email or photocopy and post it to us.
Once you have taken the prints you will then need to send them back to us where we get to work on the magic part.
What if the print doesn’t come out well?
All being well the impression will be perfect but if we have any concerns we will contact you before we proceed to make your piece of jewellery. If we need to retake the prints we will send out another kit at a cost of £5.
How long does it take to make?
Please allow three to four weeks for us to complete your order once we have received your prints back. This can be longer at busy times such as Christmas, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. During these busy times we will have a cut off period for orders. Any orders taken after this date will not be guaranteed for delivery.
If you have an urgent order please contact us and if we can we will try to ensure we can get it to you in the timescale you require.
Is it just children’s prints you do?
No! We can take prints from anyone of any age including your precious pets!

Do you sell gift vouchers?
Yes we offer gift vouchers or gift packs. Vouchers can be set for any amount and packs can be purchased for specific items.
How do I take care of my silver jewellery?
We recommend that you take off your jewellery when bathing and showering and also avoid products like perfume and body lotion coming into contact with it. We also suggest you polish your silver occasionally to maintain its shine but be careful not to polish over the detail as this may fade over time.
